The Basics

101 Stakeout Dr, Ranchos de Taos, NM 87557. We’re sitting at 7,200 feet on Outlaw Hill overlooking the Rio Grande Gorge and the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.

Follow the rabbit in the hat from Highway 68. 🐇

Fifteen minutes from downtown Taos, about 2.5 hours from Albuquerque International Sunport. Close enough to everything, far enough from everyone.

This location has been sheltering outlaws and icons since forever — Billy the Kid, Dennis Hopper, the whole crew. The same mesas and mountains that captured Georgia O’Keeffe’s imagination are also still right here. We’ve carefully reinvented it as an event space for all.

Yes, we host weddings, private events, and are open every Sunday for dinner + drinks all year long.

Weddings & Private Events

Up to 250, depending on how you use our mix of indoor and outdoor spaces. Bell Terrace is perfect for 150-person ceremonies. The Salon seats 135 for dinner, and our Tent Annex adds even more room for larger groups.

We’ve got:

  • The Salon (dining/gala room with mountain views)
  • Bell Terrace (our famous two-tier deck with panoramic sunsets)
  • Tent Annex (for big groups or weather backup)
  • Fireplace Lounge (intimate spot for music or cocktail hour)
  • Copper + Outdoor Bar
  • Private Suite (for getting ready or sneaking away)

Of course, between the Tent Annex and our indoor rooms, we can pivot quickly if Taos skies surprise us.

Exclusive 2-day rental, tables, chairs, decor (china, glass, silver, linens), three planning sessions, day-of coordination, vendor management, and AV support. Basically, everything except the guests.

Only one. When you book The Stakeout, it’s all yours.

Absolutely. Bring your dog, enter on horseback. If they’re part of your story, they’ll have a place here.

Yes, we are fully licensed and insured for events.

May through October is when everyone wants to be outside. But winter weddings with snow-capped mountains and fireplace hangs are classically cool.

Live Music & Public Events

Indie, folk, jazz, DJ nights — plus supper clubs with guest chefs, film screenings, and themed parties.

Check our website calendar below or follow us on Instagram for the latest lineups and ticket links.

We like to keep most of our shows FREE, but you should always bring a little cash to tip the performers! Very rarely do we charge a cover.

For bigger touring acts, we sell tickets on our website. Ticketed shows range from $10–$30. Details are always posted with each event listing.

Depends on the event. We’ll let you know the setup when you get tickets.

Yes, the kitchen and bar stay open for shows.

All ages unless noted otherwise. 21+ to drink, obviously.

Modern + traditional eclectic entrées, seasonal vegetables, thrice-cooked fries, and desserts that change weekly. Always fun, always from-scratch.

Yes, our kitchen runs gluten-free and always offers veg and vegan options.

All of it! Think mezcalitas, local craft beer, and our favorite wines by the glass or bottle.

Yes, and it’s the easiest way to become someone’s favorite person. Gift cards can be used for the restaurant, concerts, and even that extra round of mezcalitas. Grab one here or in person.

We have plenty of on-site parking available and room for vendor load-ins. No hiking required.

Yes. We also work with guests on accessibility needs. Reach out directly so we can make it happen.
